Unrecognized database format

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

If you suddenly get the 'Unrecognized Database Format' error message for no apparent reason when you try to open your database, the chances are very high the database is corrupted.

Possible solutions:

1.First, try to repair the database by choosing Repair Database from the Tools menu.
2.See if it helps to reinstall the database engine. You can download the database engine from http://www.fnprg.com/dao/
3.If that didn't help, send the database file to support@fnprg.com via http://www.yousendit.com. We may be able to repair the database, and save, if not all, at least some of the data.

We recommended that you backup your database(s) on a regular basis, for example once a week. You should especially do a backup after adding many new videos. The backup can be used if some unusual event occurs which causes your database to become corrupt and non-recoverable.
