Split a lookup item |

To split a lookup item into multiple items, follow this procedure:
| 1. | Bring up the data entry window for the lookup item you want to edit. |
| 2. | Click the Split button  on the toolbar. You see the 'Split Lookup Item' window. |
| 3. | Specify the separator you want to use when splitting up the text, then click the Split button. |
| 4. | AssetCAT adds the new lookup values to the list below.  You can now edit the new lookup values before you save the changes to the database. |
| 5. | Click the Update button to save the changes. AssetCAT adds the new lookup items to the lookup table, then updates all data fields linked to this lookup table. |
Please note that single item lookup fields (for example Category) will only contain the value on the first row in the list after you have used the Split function.
